G’day,
Yes – I know, I’m a bit slow on the up take. Braid has been around for a donkeys years now – and well, to be honest, I have always thought it was too expensive for any benefits I could mentally conceive and just to hard to use. (I know – pretty limited thinking)
Maybe because I’ve been a bait fisherman until recently when I’ve started experimenting a little with soft plastics (yes – another slow up take).
But to be honest – I’ve just been happy heading out, rod in hand with a livie or a frozen bait seeing what I could scare up. I don’t normally fish really deep and have never had trouble feeling the bite.
Until I came across this real of Jarvis Walker Hercules Braid for $20 in K-Mart and decided I had to give it a go.
So having peeled the hard earned cash from my wallet – the next thought I had was…
How Do I Fish With Braid?
What knots do I use, do I need to use a leader – or do I tie the line directly to the hook??
So the next post will be, how to fish with Braid.
Cheers,
Hillboy
